As the global pandemic prevents The Society gathering for the 2021 Annual Conference The Society is hosting a Virtual Conference on Wednesday 5th May 2021, 11.00am to 12.30pm BST.
The Keynote Speaker is Fr Hans Zollner SJ, President of the Centre for Child Protection at the Pontifical University, Rome, Member of the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors, and a Consultor of the Congregation For Clergy.
The topic is “Safeguarding Observations for the Evaluation and Revision of Canonical Penal Law”.
This Morning Session is open to Members of our Society and non members who may have a particular interest in Fr Hans Zollner's chosen topic. It may be of particular interest to those who work in the canonical field, in chanceries, governance, tribunals and safeguarding.
The Afternoon Session is reserved to Members of the Society.
Anyone interested in registering for the Virtual Conference or who would like further information is asked to contact Mrs Kate Dunn, The Society’s Administrative Secretary, at kate.dunn@galloweaydiocese.org.uk or by post to Mrs Kate Dunn, Canon Law Society of Great Britain and Ireland, Diocese of Galloway, Diocesan Offices, 8 Corsehill Road, Ayr, KA7 2ST, or by telephone 01292 294 392.
