Monsignor Hogan joined the Canon Law Society in 1976 and eventually was appointed Chairman of the RSC; a position he held for ten years from 1997 -2007. He held the office of President of the Society from 2007 -2013, serving two full terms. Monsignor Hogan was Judicial Vicar of his home Diocese of Middlesbrough from1978-1997. He is aJudge of the Dioceses of Middlesbrough and Lancaster and a member of the National Safeguarding Review Panel of the Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales.

Monsignor David Cousins is a Priest of the Archdiocese of Birmingham,. He was ordained on 12th March 1960. He was awarded a Licence in Canon Law by the Angelicum University, Rome (1967-1969). Parish Priest of the Sacred Heart, Sutton Coldfield since 1978. In 1970 Monsignor Cousins was appointed judge of the Birmingham Diocesan Tribunal, From 1978 TO 2008 Monsignor Cousins was appointed the Judicial Vicar on the Birmingham Diocesan Tribunal in 1978, an office he held for 30 years. Monsignor Cousins held the office of President of the Canon Law Society of Great Britain and Ireland from 1985 to 1991, serving two full terms.

Monsignor John Conneely is a Priest of the Archdiocese of Westminster. Ordained for the Westminster Diocese in 1988, he studied Canon Law at the Gregorian University in Rome. Mgr Conneely is the Judicial Vicar for the Archdiocese of Westminster .In addition to his work as a Judge with the Westminster and Plymouth Diocesan Marriage Tribunals, he has taught Canon Law at the Missionary Institute London, Allen Hall Seminary and Heythrop College, London.
From 1997 until 2000 Monsignor Conneely held the office of General Secretary of the Society. He was appointed President of the Canon Law Society of Great Britain and Ireland in 2000 and served two full terms until 2006. In 2009 he was elevated to the position of Chaplain to the Papal household..

The Right Rev Mgr Gordon Read MA, BD, JCL
Monsignor Read has been a member of the Canon Law Society from 1977. During this time Monsignor Read served on the Executive Committee from1986 to1989 & from 1995-1998. He was appointed to the office of General Secretary in 1989-and served two full terms until 1995. In 2013 Monsignor Read was elected President of the Society and is serving his first term.
Monsignor Read, born in Southend on Sea, is a priest of the Diocese of Brentwood. He obtained a first degree in Litterae Humaniones at Oxford (Exeter College) (MA) and studied for the Priesthood at St Edmund’s College, Ware and Heythrop College, London (BD). )He gained his License in Canon Law (JCL) in from the Gregorian University Rome (1977-1979); Monsignor Read was appointed an Auditor of Brentwood Diocesan Tribunal in 1976 and held the office of Judge from 1980. In 1955 he was appointed Judicial Vicar of the Diocese of Brentwood He was Vice Chancellor of the diocese from 1981 until 1983 when he was appointed Chancellor.
